Sunday morning worship services are the spine of our life together. The most important thing to know about services is encompassed in our church motto: No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you're welcome here.
Most of the year, worship begins at 10 AM and goes for about an hour, followed by a few moments of fellowship over coffee and tea
and perhaps a sweet treat. (This social time takes place in the room through the door to the right of the pulpit).
Communion happens every other month or so. How we serve communion varies and the congregation will be guided through the process each time. All attendees are welcome to participate.
People at church dress up or down as they wish for services. Most Sundays you will see a number of people in jeans; men rarely wear ties. We encourage you to wear what will make you comfortable and make it easy to get yourself to church.
The noise and wiggling of a child is much louder to the parents than to the rest of us; please try to relax and not worry too much about little noises. As a help to you, in the back corner of the church there is a table with books, paper and pens to keep little ones busy – feel free to grab anything that is useful. Many of our younger children (through kindergarten age) enjoy going downstairs to the nursery and playing with the babysitters and other kids there. Children in grades 1-6 usually stay for the first part of the service and then go upstairs with a parent volunteer to enjoy a church-related Sunday school activity.
